Look no further than our club! As a member, you'll have access to a variety of watercraft, including kayaks, sit-on-top kayaks, open canoes, and SUP boards.

Best of all, all gear is provided as part of your annual membership subscription.

Please ensure that your membership is current and valid. Any expired members will not be allowed to use the lake or pool facilities.

Prices stated commence January 2025. All fees are on an annual basis.

Taster sessions

Our club offers both lake and pool taster sessions, throughout the year.

We offer one summer lake session for free, whilst autumn pool sessions are chargeable at £12 per paddler.

Pool sessions are currently taking place at Crawley's K2 Leisure Centre.

• Provide Quality Training and Support: Offer structured coaching and support to help members develop their skills, from basic paddling techniques to advanced water safety and rescue.

Statement of Participation

If you are completing a membership as a JUNIOR under 18, please ensure the parent or Guardian details are provided. Each member’s date of birth is required for Paddle UK statistics.

By completing the membership you acknowledge the following rules;

Participant Declaration I will watch and listen carefully to the safety brief given by the leader(s) for the paddling session I am about to take part in

If I am unclear on any parts of the activity or instructions, I will ask the leader(s) to clarify any uncertain points.

I understand that kayaking, SUP, and canoeing are adventure activities and an assumed-risk sport. As such, they carry an element of risk and the potential for kit damage, personal injury, and death.

I acknowledge that these risks mean it is vital I listen to follow safety instructions and act responsibly.

I confirm that neither the club nor leaders/coaches will be held liable for any accident, injury, damage, or death unless it is proven to be a result of negligence.

I have declared all medical conditions in the Medical Information section of the form.

I will not paddle, or drive under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs.

I declare that I can swim and am confident in and around water.

I acknowledge that I will, under no circumstances, be able to participate in river activities without the correct and functioning PPE, including a suitable buoyancy aid and helmet (including a correct leash system for SUPs).

Clothing suitable for the weather/water conditions must be worn. The suitability of PPE is at the discretion of the leaders responsible for the day.

I understand that kayaks/Canoes used on the river must be fitted with airbags, have functioning grab handles, and be in good working condition. The suitability of my craft for the activity will be at the discretion of the leaders responsible for the day.

I am aware that the session may be cancelled due to adverse weather, or environmental-related safety issues.

I agree to abide by Paddle UK’s ‘Go Canoeing’ Code of Practice.” see Code of Conduct for Coaching Workforce.

I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Horsham Canoe Club codes of conduct.

I will register my emergency contacts in my mobile phone so that they can be accessed while it’s locked.

I’m aware that the affiliated club insurance only covers 3rd parties and is not a form of personal insurance.

I’m aware that personal Paddle UK membership only covers 3rd parties and is not a form of personal insurance.

I am responsible for completing membership forms accurately.

I am responsible for any errors and omissions to personal information and accept liability for any direct or indirect consequences that arise from these errors or omissions.

All data gathered on this consent form will be utilized only for the purposes detailed on this form and will be processed and stored in compliance with the Paddle UK Data Protection Policy and following all applicable Data Protection laws in effect at the time of publication of this form.

When signing up for membership, I declare and agree with the above statements and are aware of the risks associated with participating in this activity.

I consent to photos and videos to be taken for use in the promotion of the club.

I understand that WhatsApp is used as the main tool of communication within the club.

I consent to being added to the group chats. (it is important to note that the phone numbers of all participants are visible to all other club members in WhatsApp chats, email can be used instead if preferred).
